January, 2010: • Adults, set aside Saturday night February 27, for an evening of dinner and music. Once again the music will be provided by Alejandro and Friends. Dinner will be held at the Sycamore Club House on the Sycamore Golf Course. Cost will be a dish to pass plus $10 per individual. Reservations and money must be given to Pastor Dan no later than Sunday, February 14. • Presently residing at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center are: Marion Auberg, Sigrid MacPartland, Cliff Stielow, and Pat Tucker. Though they are absent, still we will be with them in prayer. Pray also for Tommi Stielow and all residents of Barb City Manor as they are under health alert. • Thursday bible study and prayer meeting "Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of God" The study examines what we believe and why. It provides a biblical foundation so those involved in the study can explain to others why we have eternal assurance, etc. There is still time and room for you from 6-7:30 p.m. • Ladies, January 13 begins a new study examining the character and personality of a Christ follower. Study guides cost $10 and refreshments are provided. When the group meets January 20, each participant will complete a discipleship inventory to track their progress as a disciple of Jesus. This Wednesday the group will meet at the church. The weeks following they will meet at the DeKalb County Home. • You have the opportunity today to receive one or two daily devotionals to enhance your walk with the Lord. One is our quarterly devotional "Open Windows" which contains the missionaries whose birthdays are this quarter. The second is "Today in the Word" a monthly devotional which features during January how "The grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many". • Remember church begins each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with the study of God's word.
